Some ATI cards are supported. They are not supported officially by Brian
Paul however (the writer of MESA). Basically what happens is Brian Paul
wrote the library of MESA, but you need to have a method of transferring the
MESA calls to your video card, i.e. a driver for your card that supports GL.

There is a team that has made a driver like this for ATI cards, they are
located at:
http://glx.on.openprojects.net/

I dont have an ATI card, so Im not sure how well or if it works.
