Hi all,
I bought and installed a Kyocera FS-1000 printer, and it prints fine under
linux. Running printtool, there were no Kyocera printers listed, so I
pretended to have a Brother HL1240, and that's what is spec'd in my
/etc/printcap file. It seems to work fine - I printed some complicated
graphincs and the output was acceptable. Sometimes I think the text is a
little light. My question is: does anyone suggest an alternative printer
type to be specified in /etc/printcap that will produce a higher print
quality? It's not that I'm unhappy with it - I just wonder of it could be
better.
Thanks,
peter

The FS-1000 can do 600x600, but my /etc/printcap file says
##PRINTTOOL3## LOCAL ljet2p 300x300 a4 {} BrotherHL1240 Default {}
