I'm not positive this is your problem, but when trying to use this drive under OS/2 Warp, with Back Again/2, I had problems, and the software company advise that the drive was not totally SCSI compliant. They advised to update the ROMs in the drive. NB: The drive still didn't work with their program. It does work fine with programs that directly support it. You might want to talk to Exabyte about it. --------------------------------------------------------------- Dave Maczis Internet: davemacz@smart.net Fidonet: 1:261/1096 ---------------------------------------------------------------

You are correct that the Exabyte 8200 & BA/2 don't get along well together
I personally ended up returning BA/2 to where I purchased it and exchanged it
for Sytos Premium which works well with my 8200 as well as my Adaptec 1742
scsi card.
