Hello, I want to get a video camera card (and camera) for my linux box to use with the MBONE tools (ivs, nv etc). Can anyone tell me what works with these tools and linux? I know about the Connetix QuickCAM, but I want something that I can connect up to a video camera. I've looked arround at most of the Web pages. Most of the stuff I've found is mainly based arround screen grabbers and the QuickCAM. I'd check a build of nv for linux, should be there in the documentation. I know the Matrox Meteor PCI card is pretty good, but don't know if its got linux support. One thing you should be aware of is the requirement for a multicast feed, either by being on a network that's linked to the MBONE, or by getting someone to feed you with a tunnel. The bandwidth you are talking for MBONE is really _quite_ high. Peter -- Peter Childs --- http://www.imforei.apana.org.au/~pjchilds The internet is full, please try again in half an hour...
