Unable to Mount /dev/hdc?

Here's the Setup First.
486/66 16 meg ram
Side Jnr PRO EIDE Vesa card.
3 H/D's, all seen at boot time and all partitions seen at boot time.
Running slackware 2.2.0.1.

I can't mount any partitions on my 3rd hd. (/dev/hdcx where x is
partitions number)

I have the partitions set up in /etc/fstab the same as my other 2 h/d's
that all have a least 1 dos partition on them that I can mount fine.
I have the mount points created and using the same command as I mount my
other drives with (that works) by just changing the dev name and the
mount point give me this:

husky:~# mount -o defaults -t msdos /dev/hdc8 /dos/h
mount: fs type msdos not supported by kernel

Which is dumb as i know my kernel supports msdos as I used the same
command to mount 2 other dos partitions.

That device in /etc/fstab looks like
this: /dev/hdc8 /dos/h msdos defaults 1 1

I can use the same mount command to mount all my other dos partitions,
but I cannot access anything on my 3rd drive. That really is a pain as it
is an 850Meg WD! All the partitions are seen on booting linux just fine,
but I cannot mount them..

HELP!!!!

Please e-mail response as I'm keen to get my 850 working with linux.

Regards..
