: WOuld anyone be interested in cooperating on the production of a SLIP
: server howto (or faq)??? Is there one around that I should know about???

Get the Nutshell book (O'Reilly) TCP/IP Administration from Craig Hunt. He explains 
very well how to set up both a PPP and a SLIP server ! For me it is THE book
for setting up IP based networks !
