I am trying to run HylaFax under SuSE Linux 6.1. I have managed to get the HylaFax service started on bootup and I have set up the Java client, and I have run the setup script to configure the server. (All of this is running on one machine). I want to fax a document, so I print it out as a Postscript file, then use the Java client to send it. The Java client connects up to the server OK and I see a list of fax jobs that are waiting in a queue to be sent. The trouble is that's ALL they do: wait. The modem never dials. Nothing seems to time out either, and I did specify Send Immediately. Can anyone give me some ideas on how I could go about diagnosing and hopefully fixing this problem? I've checked the HylaFax FAQ and deja.com and nobody else seems to be having my problem. Thanks.
