I am looking for a terminal emulator that will run under UNIX/Linux, or a
program that will let me translate what is sent to the application from the
keyboard.

A program like tn3270 except for a vt220 is what I really want.  But anything
that could let me configure what is sent to the application from the keyboard
will solve my problem.

Any help appreciated.
