Install linux on a machine which only has a 720k 3.5" disk drive. I know for the major distributions you need a HD 3.5", but it must be posible to either boot a Linux image using 2x720k disks or load lilo into a hard disk without actually using the 1.44M Linux install disk. Any ideas? Mark

Yes.. it's quite possible.. copy the standard image to the first floppy then make a root floppy on the second.. make sure you set the BOOT drive to /dev/fd0 and bobs your cousin twice removed. -- root@lsupoz.apana.org.au APANA Sydney UUCP regional hub (feeds available) Anthony Rumble Linux Support OZ (02) 418-8750 v.32bis - 3 lines Voice (02) 418-8220 For information on APANA mail info@apana.org.au
