Thank you all who gave me help getting my modem and Netscape running. I finally can connect using Usernet and then my Netscape works as well. Now, my first question is, I have a SupraExpress 56i modem and I am getting incredibly slow connection rates. Generally less than 1k. I have the modem speed set at 115200 but that obviously isn't making any difference. Anyone know what I can do to increase my connection speeds? My second question is, how do I set up priveledges so that I can start up PPP as a user. Currently I can only connect as root and would really rather not do that. Here's some system info...
