As a Houston native I am not very aware of the Internet providers in the Dallas area. However, the most you should need are the numeric IP addresses of the nameservers, and the ability to have your pppd start talking PPP at the login prompt (threw me for a loop the first time I tried this, I didn't think it could possibly work) and authenticate using either PAP and CHAP. Other than that just have your sendmail use your ISP's mailservers as a smarthost (actually you can usually send directly to the receiving mailserver but some will reject mail from dial-up IP addresses due to spam problems). If all else fails, ask what operating system they are running on the other end. Odds are if it's Linux or any other flavor of Unix you have a great chance of making the connection work. -- Shawn K.
