Problems loading syscallmgr in dosmeu

Hi Guys,
having problems trying to load syscallmgr for dosemu-0.60.4. make most
works without a problem. When I try and load syscallmgr this is what I get:

sys_call_table undefined
kmalloc undefined
kfree_s undefined
current undefined
verify_area undefined
printk undefined
Failed to load module! The symbols from kernel 1.2.13 don't match 1.2.13

    Background:
      - kernel 1.2.13 compiled with CONFIG_MODVERSIONS. Was compiled with
        aout.
      - have configured modules-1.2.8 successfully, did have some problems
with compiler warnings, but it compiled.
      - in the Makefile.linux I defined the KERNEL_VERSION as 1002013.
      - doesnt seem to matter if I use ./insmod or insmod.

Should I try compiling dosemu in aout instead of elf as it is at the moment.

I suspect its something more sinister than that.

My eventual aim is to use emumodule with dosemu.

Many Thanks
