Problems getting sendmail to masquerade

Hi

I recently upgraded to slackware 4 which uses sendmail 8.9.3. Trouble is
its taking no notice of the DM (masquerade) field in sendmail.cf which is
annoying as I don't wish my machine to have the same name as my ISP
account. I've tried 8.9.1 as well and it seems to ignore it too tho I had
no problems with ancient 8.6.9 which I'm going to have to go back to if I
can't get this sorted out. Anyone know why it won't do it?

Thanks for any help in advance...

Have you got the following in your .mc file?

MASQUERADE_AS(`whatever.co.uk')
FEATURE(`masquerade_envelope')
FEATURE(`allmasquerade')

The reason you should do it this way is that in addition to making the DM
definition you also need to enable some additional rules, and the m4
configuration script will take care of that.
