Hi I am trying to compile wu-ftpd-2.4.2-beta16 on a Linux box (kernel 2.0.36) in the vain hope that I might be able to get SITE EXEC to work. However I am getting the following error. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong? ftpd.o: In function 'pass': ftpd.o(.text+0x163a): undefined reference to 'crypt' private.o: In function 'priv_gpass': private.o(.text+0x385): undefined reference to 'crypt' make: *** [ftpd] Error 1 thanks Austin

Thanks for you help but could you please supply just a little more info as I haven't done much compiling before. How exacly do I use -lcrypt to link against the library? Also, why do I need to do it? It doesn't say anything about it in the installation instructions.
