Hi,

One of my machines (Am5x86-P75-S, 133MHz, 24MB, Linux 2.0.35) has
started displaying following error msg:

-----
general protection: 0000
CPU: 0
EIP: 0010:[<001a9db4>]
EFLAGS: 00010087
[...]
Process swapper (pid: 0, process nr: 0, stackpage=001d6cc0)
[...]
Aiee, killing interrupt handler
kfree of non-kmalloced memory: 001d8d08, next= 00000000, order=0
[...]
idle task may not sleep
-----

Is this a hardware problem with the CPU? RAM?...

Thanks for any help, I need this machine to be up and running asap...

Please, post the information you snipped, it's there for purpose.
It may be CPU. It may be memory. It may be bug in the kernel. No one
can tell without the stack dump, registers, etc. They are in your logs.
BTW, don't forget to run ksymoops on the report (see details in
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/oops-tracing.txt).
