Is this an internal or external device? Most (all?) internals will not
work with Linux AFAIK.

SOP.

Maybe a little more info...which distro? which dhcp client?
In my experience, DHCP is such a simple, straight forward protocol,
most failures can be traced to the network device, typically a NIC. Is
this setup using a NIC? If so, is it recognized and initialized by the
kernel/module?

Not with a 'Telus'.
