I have been presented this difficulty in having my kernel 2.0.27 recognize myh second ethernet card. I have an AMD 486/120 which I am planning on using as a gateway to the internet. I have tried passing the parameters at boot time: linux ether=11,0x340,eth1 I have also tried adding lines to the lilo.conf: append "ether=11,0x340,eth1" or append "ether=0,0,eth1" I have also tried directly modifying the kernel source by going into linux/drivers/net/Space.c but these still wont work.... Im running out of ideas on how to get it to work.... I was wondering if anyone have had a similar experience who would like to give any possible work arounds or even answers...? I would gladly appreciate any comments you can give regarding this matter. thanks....
