can you restate the problem?.... I am unclear as to what you are trying to
say...

if you are trying to access a cdrom from an exported server...then yes you
can do this.

you'd have to to either use an automounter, so that whenever you change
media, that the drive get's remounted (CDROM).... or, once the media in in
the drive and the drive is mounted...

put a line like  this in your exports file ::

/mnt/cdrom         host_accessing(ro)

or

/mnt/cdrom         *.domain.com(ro)


this of course depends that you have already mounted the cdrom..
