My ESP hat is broke, 
What is the error message(s),
what commands did you do on what machine.........


for me it would be
Linux box /etc/resolv.conf would have Sun_box dsn server ip addresses.
xhosts +sun_ip_address_here

xterm  -e rlogin sun_ip_address_here -l sun_box_login_id_here &

Once on sunbox I would  
export DISPLAY=linux_box_ip_connection_ip_address_here:0


On sun_box, a,  xterm    would pop up a window or give an error.
