Hi, I'm trying to configure a linux router as a firewall. As per documentation, I've rebuilt the kernel with both IP_FORWARDING and IP_FIREWALL options. The forwarding is now working but when I try some ipfw commands I get this error: melbroute:/etc# ipfw p f accept ipfw: setsockopt(IP_FW_POLICY_FWD): Protocol not available Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated? TIA. Cheers, Javy Javy Llora (: | Golden 3 Technology jbllora@golden3.com.au | http://www.golden3.com.au * To reply via email, remove ".junkproof" from the address *

So the problem _might_ be you need a newer ipfwadm package. -- David Gibson @ The Lorax | New from Microsoft... david%brucehall20@anu.edu.au | THNEED 95 | Which everyone, Everyone, EVERYONE needs.
