IP masquerading, Now what?

Hi,

I followed the *very good* instructions in the IP Masquerade guide
at ftp://ftp.eves.com/

Now, I have my Windows PC working quite nicely over ethernet to my linux
box, thence out to the world via SLIP.

It took a couple of goes playing with MTU in trumpet, but I got it to
work nicely with WWW, News, mail and telnet.

Now, I know ftp and talk are not supposed to work, but I did manage to
get One file back ove http/ftp, as it was linked to the absolute path to
the file.

Most FTP sites of course cannot do this.

So, my query is, is there a patch for the patch?
Will I be able to ftp etc with IP masquerade sometime soon?

The information seems to be very thin on the ground regarding this...

Thanks for all who have helped me so far!

As far as being a Newbie goes, I feel very good that I have accomplished
so much on Linux, with such basic knowledge of UNIX!

In netscape or mosaic etc just open

	ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/

and browse happily.

I tried ftp.eves.com and kept getting connection refused. Is this the
correct address?

I kept getting that as well, then it just worked, so keep on trying.

	It is worth it.

Works fine here: "ftp.eves.com"
