can access some sites, not others. HELP

For some unknown reason, our server crashed. After it was rebooted and
happy, we (my friend and I) couldn't get it the dsl connect. eth0 was
connected to the lan, eth1 was connected to the DSL. He decided to swap it
so eth0 was the dsl and eth1 was the lan. After that, we could connect to
the dsl. Now, some sites work, some sites don't. For example,
aceshardware.com, download.com, and many other sites work. However, some
sites don't.
A bizarre example is cube.ign.com works, but media.ign.com doesn't.
DNS lookup is working properly. It just can't seem to connect to certain
locations.
Any ideas?

We're running corel linux 1.1
