There's a lot of steps involved in doing this, too many for me to
type in here.  You are fortunate, however, because there is a
document which details most of what you need to know.  It is called
the PPP-HowTo.  It describes a common way to make the kind of
connection you are talking about.

If you can do ftp, you can download this document yourself from
numerous sites around the world.  (If you are serious about using
Linux, you should know how to find and download software.)  If you
can't do ftp yet, write to me and I will email you a copy of the
PPP-HowTo.

After you read this and other documents it refers to, then you can
pose better questions here, questions which the participants here
can address.
