CD-ROM... Sorry... :(

I know this has been hashed, and re-hashed, but I have missed it somewhere
along the line, and yes I have read old newsfiles...

Does Linux support a Panasonic 583 CD_ROM drive yet? I know it supports up
to the 563 model, according to the CD-ROM Howto, but there is no mention of
the 583 model, which is the 8x model... If anyone has this working, could you
please drop me a line, for as to which kernel features i need to compile in?

Thanks in advance, and sorry to go over the same old stuff again...

Andrew.
