Hello.. Never buy a Maxtor ... I have had 2 and they both have had to be swapped over because they have bad sectors on them .. or the heads crashed. I have had about 5 friends that i know of with exactly the same problem. Advice: go for the 2.5gig Quantum if u can afford it .. or the 2gig range as they are reliabe and fast. Also make sure to see whether your bios can handle these large drives before you buy it .. but the only way to find out would to plug it in :) Anthony. =========================================================================== = Anthony John Green =GCS/GO H- au->++ a- v- C++ ULS++ = = E-mail: agreen@wumpus.its.uow.edu.au =L++++ N++ W--- M+ R tv D+++ e+ U* = = University of Wollongong, Australia =n+ w+ P+ d?
