I know there's suppose to be a WANT_JUNK flag in one of the : config file to modify during compilation to stop storing junks but I could not : find this anywhere. The best way is to ask your newsfeed to only send you the groups you want :) Saves bandwidth & processing time on your feeder. : Also is there anyway that I can run slurp independent of innd ?? I : notice that if I run slurp by itself, the articles will get stored in : in.coming, but as soon as I run rnews -U , the articles doens't get distributed : in their correct directory but rather in the in.coming/bad directory. You should be able to do this. Check the error logs (/var/log/news/* ?) and /var/adm/messages for the reason the batches are bad.... Note: If you still have a feed & are slurping, you may get duplicates/rejects, unless the msgs are from diff groups. Not a problem, just a waste :) cm ps: check out inn setup package in ftp://disabuse.demon.co.uk/pub/linux/Demon
