I installed a new kernel (32 to 33) on my RH5 system. However I lost my PPA Zip drive; the kernel said it does not recognize /dev/sda4. I tried to mount it again by compiling in SCSI disk enable in the kernel. This did not resolve the problem either. I just scanned the list of HOWTOs in the LDP and there was no mention of how to mount a PPA Zip drive. Two things: 1. How do I reenable my Zip drive? 2. How do I keep my settings the next time I upgrade my kernel?
