Example: cd /usr/src rm linux tar xzf linux-2.0.35.tar.gz mv linux linux-2.0.35 ln -s linux-2.0.35 linux This means I can have several trees in /usr/src and a link to the one I want to compile. > Other question. You would be much better of using XFree 3.3.2.3 . The simplest way to do this is to grab the proper rpm files from Redhat and do an rpm -Uvh XFree*.rpm. Download all the rpm files to a single directory. > who says that Linux is different from windows 95?.... Is a joke..... It seems that now that ETA has declared a ceasefire you want to start a Holy War here ;-) I wish you luck. -- Caio |Oliver's Law: Experience is something you The Guhvanoh <ViNyL 4eVeR> | do not get until just after you need it. /* Standard disclaimer */ | Email: akabi at home dot com #include <disclaimer.h> | Expect reply within the Decade
