help with Tob file restoration

Please help!

I am having trouble restoring a directory from tape with Tob.  I have
been using it for awhile and have restored files, but never a complete
directory.

I use:

tob -restore /where/the/file/is/file.txt

to restore a file, but when I run

tob -restore /where/the/file/is/

no worky.  it just spins through the whole 20GB tape and then I find
out 30 minutes later that nothing was restored.

sorry for the cross-posts but I am freaking out.
