Hi all!

I 've got the 4-Infomagic CD. On June 95 I had installed from floppies
my slackware and now, I want to complete it.

But there was 3 days, I have a big big big BIG BIG pb.

1) On boot the My DX4100 return the next messages :

   VFS : fsck.ext2 not such file, cannot mount disk system (or like this)

 Then it pass on single user mode.

expl: When I want to install the Infomagic CD's, can I do it on /mnt
point - that's way I've got ? or is there over suitable way to do this ?
..

I think that the mount point /mnt has done something wrong and I was
counstrainted to reboot or this was 'exlicitly' mounted.

2) Then, my X-Windows config had a BIG pb.
when I attempt to launch Openwin or startx I have the next mssg :

    xinit: Fatal server error:
    Cannot establish any listening sockets
    Make sure that an X server isn't already running.

In the first time (booting with another zimage earlier than 1.2.8)
I had :

    TransSocketUnix () : cannot running X server : error (20)
and at least
    TransSocketUnix () : cannot running X server : error (3)
    Make sure an X server is'nt already running
    xview : error (20)
    xinit : error (3)

Just below this the boot config return the long long mssg :

Oops : 0000
EIP : 0010 : 00102a12
EFLAGS : 00010002
eax : 00000004 ebx : 001e76bc ecx : 001e76bc edx : 001e76bc
est : 00098309 edt : 00101ffc epb : 0000091c esp : 001e7624

de: 0018 es: 0018 fs: 002b gs: 0018 ss: 0018
process swapper (pid =0 process n=0, stackpage=001e5684)

stack :
0010f8dc 00000010 00000246 00110749 75be6547 000003d5 000003d5 00098309

and soon...

(-->  I need really help !!!)

3) After the first time I had reboot there was an inode error mssg and
it told me to see my lost+found directory, that I've done.

It countains the following list of files :

srwxrwxrwx 1 root root <date> <time> #17670=
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root <date> <time> #36625 -> /usr/openwin/bin/openwin*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root <date> <time> #80764 -> /usr/openwin/bin/olgx/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root <date> <time> #80765 -> /usr/openwin/bin/pixrect/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root <date> <time> #80766 -> /usr/openwin/bin/xview/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root <date> <time> #80767 -> /usr/openwin/bin/sspkg/
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root <date> <time> #80768 -> /usr/openwin/bin/uit/

What's happen really on this directory with these mssg ?

4) And at the very least, when I attempt to see what fdisk do, because
after 1 min of connection, it seems running on multiusers mode, I have
the following mssg :

   unable to open /dev/sda

or I don't have any SCSI disk, just an IDE one and 3 partitions :

   /dev/hda1  Dos mount point

   /dev/hda2  Linux native partition

   /dev/hda3  Linux Swap partition

I need really help !!!
