I can not resolve a problem connecting to my ISP using Kppp in KDE1.1.
Using Kppp in KDE1.0, I have no trouble at all connecting.

I'm using ppp-2.3.6-2 and have aliases in my /etc/conf.modules as

alias ppp-compress-21 bsd_comp
alias ppp-compress-24 ppp_deflate
alias ppp-compress-26 ppp_deflate

I'm using ttyS1 for my modem port as
crw-rw-rw- 1 shigeru shigeru 4, 65 Mar 20 02:51 /dev/ttyS1

and my pppd has permission as
-r-sr-s--x 1 root users 109980 Mar 11 11:09 /usr/sbin/pppd

Anybody has any clue or haven't I still read enough FAQ's yet ???

I just fixed my problem by putting a 3 second pause before starting ppp
session in my login script . I wish I had tried it several hours ago :)
