Hello everyone.. I would like to know is it possible to get Creative AWE64 pnp to work with redhat 5.0 without running isapnp tool, or recompile the kernel? I would like to get red hat 5.0 if I can get my AWE64 to work... I am a bit tired of try to get my Redhat4.2 ...I try with isapnp.. I can't even get the isapnp to compile...hmmm may be I need to compile my kernel with sould support first ? then compile isapnp ? Anyhow.. I get my LAN, ppp to work under linux.. which I have try for ages.. so if I can get my AWE 64 to work I would be happy.

Use isapnptools to set resources used by your card and then compile kernel with same settings (ie. IRQ, DMAs, I/O ports). >I would like to get red hat 5.0 if I can get my AWE64 to work... >I am a bit tired of try to get my Redhat4.2 ...I try with isapnp.. This should have nothing to do with kernel support for sound, however, you may want to get an rpm package of isapnptools binary. (I don't know if it's part of RH4.2, but it comes with RH5). >Anyhow..
