My current TERM variable is set to linux I also tried vt100 but that seemed even worse. The problem i have is when i run an ncurses application in the console that when it draws a box or window vertical lines start with a code "1m" (without the "") I tried several terminfo files but that didnt work I'm also using midnight commander and when i use vt100 it looks like rubbish. Strangely enough when i run the ncurses app in xterm under Xwindows everything seems fine Can someone help me out here? All help greatly appreciated. ddu@ping.be

This doesn't sound like any of the usual bugs unless you have a $HOME/.terminfo directory - see my FAQ: The current version of ncurses is 4.2 There's an faq at http://www.clark.net/pub/dickey/ncurses/ncurses.faq.html -- Thomas E.
