Hi there,
Got a problem with my HP Officejet, I've downloaded and succefully
installed and configured the hpo + hpijs drivers for it...
I manage to print postscript documents with "gs -sDEVICE=ijs
-sIjsServer=hpijs -dIjsUseOutputFD -sDeviceManufacturer="HEWLETT-PACKARD"
-sDeviceModel="DESKJET 990" -r300x300 -dNOPAUSE -dSAFER
-sOutputFile="/dev/ptal-printd/mcl_usb_officejet_series" file.ps -c quit"
I've tried now to make it work with postscipt and txt documents with lpd
and LPRng as they explain on linuxprinting.org
I've downloaded the description file for the printer, footmatic-gswrapper
and i've ripped off the /etc/printcap from them
lp|officejet:\
:force_localhost:\
:lp=/dev/ptal-printd/mcl_usb_officejet_series: \
:if=/usr/local/sbin/lpdomatic: \
:filter_options= --lprng $Z /usr/local/lib/hpo-d135.dscr: \
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp: \
:rw:mx#0:sh:
now, ptal-printd's running, after a lpc start all, lpq tells me that the
printer is up...
I run lpr anything.ps and there, the printer output is awfull,
the output of the ps file is all messed up...
when i try to print a text file, well, I got the text with the carriage
returns and an indentation badly placed....
If only someone could help me to find where I got wrong....
