Does linux recognize sco fs and/or partition divvy? (minor dev #'s)

Hello,
I have the new free sco ODT5 (see www.sco.com). And I have 3 questions.

1. Is there a common decent (longfilename) filesystem that both linux
(2.0+) and sco understand. (other than dos & sysv)
I would like to be able to share a /u or /home partition on one machine
with a multiboot.

2. Can linux recognize sco partition "divisions"? Sco uses a unix
partition (=gnu-hurd) which it then subdivides with the "divvy" utility.
divvy is like a dos extended partition with divvy 0=boot, 1=swap,
2=root, 3=/u(opt), and 6=recover. divvy puts a divvy table at the
beginning of a partition that's been divvied. (doesn't seem compatible
with dos ext partitions as far as recognition)

3. Finally, is there a linux table for hd minor device bit
representation? sco has one with
bits Description
7-6 disk (0-3)
5-3 partiiton (1-4) 101-active part, 110=dos part
2-0 division (0-6) 111=whole partition

With this table I can use mknod to access any partition / division -
does linux have something similar?

Thanks,
Joseph
