Installing Linux...

I got a copy of Linux recently (actually two because two people responded to
my post and now I've got it on CD and floppy). Now I downloaded a bootdisk
image and was able to use RAWRITE and boot up LILO and blah blah blah. I run
setup (only after I got Linux fdisk running) and I can't get the setup utility
to do anything for me. If it hit install or installation media or any of the
other options, nothing happens. What happened? I'm stuck! *argh*

Hmnmm, which Linux are you using? (I use slackware, myself).

First, have you activated your swap space? did you even partition your
harddrive to allow swap space? Having partitioned your harddrive to allow
swap space, did you mount a secondary partition for your data/wares space?

Tell us exactly what you did, please, at least the four or five steps
right before you started going nowhere...

If you have 4 Megs of RAM, make sure you set up a swap partition...I had the
same problem. Instructions are in the setup howto.
