printing - lpr -Pbweco ./book1.ps

Hi,    I have setup /etc/printcap  with some printers and the scripts
use pbm2ppa  for b&w printing and  pnm2ppa for color printing.
and  pbm2ppa printing is fine.

if I try   lpr -Pbweco ./book1.ps    nothing prints.

if I   cat myfile.ps | /usr/local/bin/ps.bwe.eco.if > /dev/lp0   it prints.
so I restarted the  lpd dameon but still nothing.

Mail
Subject:  bweco printer job "book1.ps"
Status: R

     Your printer job (book1.ps)
     was not printed because it was not linked to the original file.
