I have found that the easiest way is, don't run startx, instead in your rc.local file put these 2 lines at the end /path.../xdm /path.../xhost + then x-win32 will see your linux box as an xdmcp server, when you connect you will be presented with a login screen. the other advantage to this is if you reboot linux then you dont have to touch the console before you connect from nt (this was usefull in my case as the linux box was on a different level at work :-) ) hope this helps, Doy Roel Schroeven wrote: > Hello guys, > > I have a RedHat 5.0 Linux box and a Windows NT 4.0 machine connected > with a network and I would like to run a X server on the NT machine to > run applications on the Linux machine.
