X11R6 compilation: mkfontdir problems (CompressAllFonts = YES)

	Hi guys,

I'm compiling X11R6pl12 and XFree86 3.1.2 for Linux/68k (ELF). Everything
goes fine, except that mkfontdir complains that it can't add the compressed
fonts (I use `CompressAllFonts = YES', which is the default for Linux).

Is this caused by the fact that my compress is identical to gzip, i.e. should
I use the `real' compress (which compresses worse)? Or is there something else
wrong?

Greetings,

						Geert
