Anyone got XFree86 4.0.1 working with the AT3D/Rush chipset? I am trying to get the new XFree86 4.0.1 to work with the Hercules Stingray 128/3D. I have 2D working with 3.3.6 and have had the 3D working with 3.2? I heard that the DRI is not supported with less than a voodoo 3, but am still interested in getting it to work the old way. It has the Alliance AT3D chipset on board. I ran the XFree86 -configure, but when I test the generated XF86Config file the X server locks up on me. I assume that the configure is unable to generate an XF86Config file for this video card, and I just need to talk to someone who has it working and see what modules they loaded. Or find out where I can get info on the modules. I have tried both compiling my own and the rpm packages. I only found one other posting referencing the AT3D/Rush combination and the same results were noted Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
