hi all, I have added several truetype fonts whick copied from win into
redhat7(gnome), but I can (in fact, I don't know how to) set the
emacs20.7 to suport both gb and big5. in fact, though I have added gb
and big5 fonts into Xwin, but in emacs I can find them, the fonts menu
are still two fonts, fixed and cur.., I have to select the
fontset-standard to support only gb or big5, depend on the locale
setting. how to add fontset into emacs and set them to deal with
different encoding fonts? (both gb and big5)

btw: if I can input and display chinese in emacs, I think I need not
install other chinese patches, which I have to download many things
and remake the kernel. what I want is just a good newsreader, I need a
"offline reader" like agent, can download posts or subjects into
local, can set useful filters to watch my threads and kill garbages. I
know emacs has several news and mail packages, such as gnus. do them
support above features?
