freetype util and xfs does not support Chinese?

when I want to add a chinese truetype font which copied from Win98
into redhat7.0, I meet two problems:
1.firstly, I closed the "xfs" sevice and added path of that font into
fonpath, and write a fonts.dir by myself (becoz the freetypeutil does
not support gb2312 encoding, it can only deal with iso-8859-xx or
acsii). the file contains:
simsun.ttf -freetype-SimSun-medium-r-nomal--0-0-0-0-p-0-gb2312.1980-0
OK, this Chinese ttf was added successesfully. I can set it as the
default fontset of gtk, select it in netscape, but the problem is I
can change its size in netscape, in the netscape's font dialog, it
only has two size, the 0 and 12. but the 12 is too small for me. in
fact this truetype font can scaled to any size. but I don't know how I
can chagne it in netscape.

2.then, for this size problem, I have to use xfs. I open xfs sevice
again, edit it's config file (/etc/X11/fs/config or conf) and add the
font's path into the category section, then I reboot mechine, then I
meet another problem: the xfs flush each fonts.dir file within each
font path. becoz of the ttmkfdir does not support chinese truetype
font, there is nothing for gb2312 encoding in the fonts.dir which it
products. this wrong file overwrite my right file once the xfs
started. I can backup the right file and do "xset fp rehash", but this
is not a good work.

help me! dose the newest truetype util or xfs support chinese ttf
font? where can I find a tool to support chinese truetype font? I
downloaded a ttf2bdf tool, but it does not support chineses also, it
need a encoding mapping file, but it provids only several ios8895-xx.
what shell I do?
