I'm having trouble getting XDM to work from an NCD X Terminal. I have XDM running on my Linux box (X Server is XInside's Acc. X). If I run an XDMCP query from the terminal to my machine, I get the login box successfully. So I log in, but then instead of starting the window manager, the terminal dumps back to the screen where you specify the host. I checked my .xsession-errors file, and this is what I have: Xlib: connection to "my ip address here:0.0" refused by server Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server xmodmap: unable to open display 'my ip address here:0.0' then the same for xsetroot, and fvwm. It seems like it is trying to connect to the Linux box's Xserver, since it gives the Linux box's ip address and :0.0 If this is so, is there a file where I can specify that is should access the Xserver of the NCD terminal? I thought an XDMCP query was supposed to take care of that process.. Also, if this helps, here is the xdm-errors file in my xdm directory on the Linux box: Xaccel 1.2 (build 1201) Accelerated-X Server [copyright info deleted] Configuration file: etc/Xaccel.ini LINUX using /dev/tty8 PCI (#1, 8000000e) NUMBER9, 1: I-128, TVP3025 (4096k, [0.000 - 220.000MHz]) AUDIT: Mon Dec 11 20:05:49 1995: 591 Xaccel-aout: client 4 rejected from IP [my IP address here] port 30724 it says this three times for different ports then xdm error (pid 598): fatal IO error 2 (borken pipe) X connection to 0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown) Anybody have any idea what is wrong with my setup? Thanks John
