XFree86 + motherboard with on-board video (Asus SP97-V)

	Hi,

I'm trying to install XFree86 (from RedHat 4.0, Linux 2.0)
on a computer with an Asus SP97-V motherboard. The SP97-V has
on-board video, and the video memory is just a part of
	main memory.
With Windows*, you have to setup the BIOS in
order to specify the size of video memory you want (1, 2
	or 4 Mb).
With Linux, I suspect the BIOS information is not
really relevant, and I have to tell the system how much
memory is for video and how much for Linux. But how and
	where (lilo.conf ?).
At the moment, all XFree86 result in a black screen,
	if not a system hang.
Any hints or experiences ? Thanks in advance.

	   Laurent Bloch
