OSF/1 is an operating system that is implemented on top of Mach, either
with an intergrated kernel (procedure calls) or micro kernel (message
passing). The kernel used is Mach (2.5 is proc, 3.0 is ipc).
In particular the OSF organization created the OSF/1 operating system; a
very robust operating system with unix type interface. I think
the current OSF/1 os (which comes with their mach enhancements) is 4.0.
