Shared memory under Mach 3.0

 I have an application that runs under SunOs 4.1 using shared
memory.  I am trying to move it to Mach 3.0.  Is there a way
to simulate shared memory under Mach or do I have to re-write
the program to use ports and messages?  Any help is
appreciated.
