I have some DOS and MS Windows software for sale.  I also
have a free copy of Optibase's JPEG Image Workshop for 
Windows to give away.

The software for sale includes a disk compression subsystem,
the world's most popular screen saver and home finance
products, an anti-virus package, a fax management product, and
a drawing package.  All products are less than 3 weeks old, 
and include all documentation and the original (still blank) 
registration card.  Some of this software was bundled with 
other products I am keeping; other products have been installed, 
used briefly, and then de-installed.

Here's the software and the asking price, along with a
typical mail-order price found in a recent PC magazine
(which is less than the prices at the retail shop I
bought some of this stuff at).  I've included the
manufacturer's phone number if you want more information
on their product (e.g. compatibility).

Still with me?  Here's some more information:

1. Prices are negotiable.  If you want to buy one of
   these, send me the least and the most you'll pay.
   I'll review my incoming mail three days from now,
   and will sell to the highest bidder.  Your bid
   will be taken to be the lowest price within the
   range you specify which still beats all other bids,
   rounded to the nearest dollar.  For example, let's
   say you bid $40-49 for SuperStor PRO.  If the only
   other bid is $35-45, you'll get it for $46.  Sorry
   if this sounds complicated, but I want to let the
   market determine the price without turning this
   into a multi-round auction.  I thought about taking
   the first bid that met the asking price, but that
   wouldn't take into account the various rates at which
   news is propagated on the net.

2. I'll pay shipping via USPS Priority Mail (two day
   delivery); you'll pay the COD fee (which, FYI, will
   probably be $3 or so).

3. I'll donate to charity anything which doesn't sell.
   I reserve the right to not accept any bids.  If this
   one-round bid-range auction approach is a big flop,
   I may send out one more, more traditional "for sale"
   message, but otherwise I want to get this over with.

4. A copy of JPEG Workshop from Optibase will be given
   to the best bidder.  "Best" will probably mean "does
   the best job at meeting or exceeding my asking price"
   for one or more of the listed products, but it could
   mean "most entertaining bid" or "most creative counter-
   proposal" instead.  I reserve the right to define
   "best" as I see fit. :-)

P.S.  Here's a little more information on each product:

JPEG Workshop.  This will load and display JPEG, bitmap (BMP), 
TIFF gray scale, true TARGA, and PCX images.  It will save 
images in all of these formats except PCX.  It can flip,
rotate, resize, zoom in on, or change the contrast and 
brightness of an image.  It can grab a screen from any
application.  It has a separate DDE JPEG server and can
also cut/paste to/from the clipboard.

SuperStor PRO. Compression software which is transparent
to Windows and DOS applications.  It more than doubles
your disk capacity.  It requires no additional hardware.
It supports all media types, including removable disks.
Compressed files are readable by other systems that do
not have SuperStor PRO installed.  Compression can be
applied to all or part of a disk. Compatible with
MS DOS 3.2 and later, DR-DOS versions 5.0 and 6.0,
MS Windows 3.0 or later.  It does NOT support OS/2 and
Norton NCACHE version 6.0.

After Dark 2.0 for Windows.  Contains over 40 screen-
saver displays, including a mesmerizing Hall of Mirrors,

Norton Anti-Virus for Windows and DOS.  Detects existing
infections and repairs infected files quickly and easily.
Protects against newly discovered viruses with around-the-
clock updates.  Offers network support and security features
for corporate-wide installations.  Works transparently in
the background.

Arts & Letter's Picture Wizard.  Create Windows Metafiles
with easy-to-use drawing tools.  1000 clip-art images and
15 typefaces for posters, cards, and banners.  Present 
numbers as pictures in pie, bar, or line charts.  For
children and adults.

WinFax Lite.  Makes sending a fax as easy as selecting the
Print command from any MS Windows application.  A fax can
be received and stored without interrupting other Windows
applications.  The image viewer allows an incoming fax to
be reviewed, zoomed, rotated, copied to the clipboard, and
printed.  Supports an online directory for fax numbers and 
broadcast groups.  Schedule faxes for transmission at a
future date and time.  Convert faxes to PCX and TIFF. 
Establish DDE links with other applications.  Can be upgraded
to WinFaxPRO "for a significantly reduced price."  Requires
an internal fax/modem with send or send/receive capabilities,
a Sendfax compatible send-only fax/modem incorporating
the Sierra Semiconductor Sendfax chipset, a Class 1 (TR29.2 
EIA PN 2388) or Class 2 (EIA 578) fax and data modem, or a
Worldport by U.S. Robotics.

Quicken 2.0 for Windows.  The first and most popular home
finance package.  It can write checks, maintain a check
register, balance a checkbook or account, set up a budget,
schedule bill-paying reminders, track net worth including
assets such as a home or mutual fund, organize information
for tax returns and export to tax preparation software, pay
bills electronically, produce graphs and reports, and more.
