Hi all I have just uploaded a new version of my WINLOGO program to various ftp sites. The file you want is logo212.zip. Here are the details of where the program can be found; Filename: logo212.zip site uploads/final directory ----------------------------------------------------------------- ftp.cis.ksu.edu /pub/upload ftp.uu.net /tmp/winlogo (deleted after 4 days) garbo.uwasa.fi /windows/desktop micros.hensa.ac.uk /micros/ibmpc/win/c/c135 oak.oakland.edu /pub/msdos/windows3 The last 3 refer to the final location of the file. It may take some days before the archives' maintainers move them from the uploads directory to these places. Cica and wuarchive are too busy at the moment, but I shall upload to them later. Description: ------------ WINLOGO is a program for Windows 3.1 which allows users to change the Windows startup logo by a simple menu selection. It thus makes it easy to customise Windows by substituting company logos, funny pictures, etc., for the default VGA logo that comes with Windows itself. With Winlogo, all you need to do is to select your (RLE 4 encoded) bitmap from a menu, and the rest is done - it all takes less than 2 seconds. The program is a bound DOS and Windows executable - meaning that it has both DOS and Windows modules built into it. If it is run from DOS, or from a DOS prompt in Windows, the DOS module executes. If it is run from withing Windows, the Windows module executes. Both modules are fully compatible with each other. When run from DOS, you can just supply the name of your RLE 4 bitmap as a parameter to Winlogo, and it will be used to create a new logo, without you even having to load Windows.
