I need help in trying to find out if the following error is indeed a known
bug in Word for Windows 6.0.

The computers in question have been running fine for quite awhile and only 
recently they have been turning up alot of lost clusters, invalid directory
entries, and generally screwed up directory structures.  This happens when I
norton disk doctor the drive.  On one machine the word exe file was corrupted
so maybe that was the problem but on the other machines the word files seem
to be fine.

If anyone else has had this problem or heard of it occuring, please e-mail me
a response as I need a solution as soon as possible.

I've been having a similar problem to what you describ, except I just get 
corrupted files and lost clusters (no directory screw-ups).  This 
happened around the time I installed QEMM 7.03.  Soon afterward, I 
installed Winword 6, so I'm not sure which is to blame.  Perhaps it's a 
combination of the two programs?
