WfW6 has some scheme to retain a sub-list of most recently used fonts above the complete font list as seen in the drop-down list. So I believe the originator is asking if there is any way to clear/maintain this list, either for the current document or for all instances of Word documents. I have the same question! To me its a highly annoying 'improvement', because every time you drop down the list to look for a font you need to scan over the sub-list at the top to get to the start of the real font list. If it's supposed to represent the most recently used fonts (& even that's not very clear), then I guess it's 'obvious' why MS introduced the feature. -- Rob Goerz, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Internet: goerz@amtsgi.bc.ca

You're right, Rob, I didn't understand (read) the question properly.
What I do, is to select a word then change the font to the one(s) I
want in the upper list.

No problem. The question wasn't worded very clearly. In any event, MS responded to the original poster directly that MS recognized that their 'feature' wasn't being well received by users & are in fact working on a future update to improve the scheme. I assume they (meaning Microsoft) will notify through this board. In the meantime we'll have to live with it.
